Sir Edward Elgar
Elgar is one of Britain's most famous and best loved composers who was born nearby at Lower Broadheath. He loved and was inspired by the hills - for example, Nimrod from Enigma Variations, was inspired by Augustus Jaegar, Elgar's best friend, who walked regularly with him.
Edward Elgar is buried at St. Wulstan's church in Malvern Wells. Why not visit the excellent visitor centre at his birthplace at Lower Broadheath.
